Web Hosting

Local area not-for-profit organizations, including government agencies, service organizations, associations, schools, clubs, civic organizations, religious organizations, etc. may apply to become a local information provider. These organizations should either be based in Boone or Callaway county or directly serve constituents in those counties. Information Providers receive free web site hosting.

The site can be created/maintained by a member in your organization, or a professional Web developer. Also, organizations can choose to use a URL (Web site address) provided free by DBRL, (which will be of the form yoursite.missouri.org) or purchase their own domain name which could be configured to point to your site hosted by DBRL. Please contact us for more information about this option.

To apply, submit an Information Provider Application to:

Marilyn McLeod
Manager, Reference and Information Services
Daniel Boone Regional Library
P.O. Box 1267
Columbia, MO 65205-1267

Applications will be reviewed for considerations such as: authority of the organization and responsible individuals; relevancy, timeliness, and general interest to the public; compliance with the MOREnet Acceptable Use Policy and server space available. The organization will be notified when a decision is reached.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
